Where on earth this year has gone so far? Seriously can’t believe it’s June already! Halfway through the year.

As many of you are probably aware June is Pride Month. It’s a time to celebrate who you are. The fight for equality and inclusivity will never stop however June is the month to shout it from the rooftops and show how Proud we are of what we are and who we are. Myself (Ashley), I identify as bisexual, however, the world we live in still makes it an awkward one to show and be who I am, and I know so many who struggle, keep it to themselves, and get bullied for identifying how they wish to do. It doesn’t matter to us what gender you identify as, whether you identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual… it really does not matter.

Our local Pride group Pride in Gloucestershire released the following on their Facebook page today;

Happy Pride 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

It has been a tough time for a lot of our community recently and whilst it remains important for us to continue the fight for equality and inclusivity, during the month of June, we will be celebrating queer love and joy.

Now more than ever it is important to remember that you are loved and valued whether you can openly celebrate pride month or not ❤️🌈

We cannot echo this any more, it’s so true and with all this in mind, we’ve got a SUPER EXCITING announcement to make to you.

We’re supporting Pride in Gloucestershire throughout 2023 and the first way we are doing so is by providing a FREE shuttle from Cheltenham & Gloucester to Cirencester Pride on Sunday 18th June 2023. Transport to/from Cirencester can sometimes be difficult, especially on a Saturday and from Gloucester. So we’re really excited about this.

If you wish to travel with us we will be picking up at Cheltenham Royal Well and Gloucester Transport Hub.

We can also pick up at ALL stops served by the 94X from Cheltenham into Gloucester Transport Hub.

This includes main stops such as GCHQ, Arle Court, Longlevens, Oxstalls Campus and London Road. Upon departure from Gloucester, we will be running directly to Cirencester. The arrival and departure times at Cirencester coincide with the event.

This is a FREE shuttle and there is NO cost whatsoever. You are of course welcome to make a donation towards our fuel costs however this is not necessary.

We will be decorating GX06 DYW out with pride banners, inside and GX06 DYW will be on display with Pride Destinations created in-house by Harry Thompson and pride banners and flags on the outside too!

Plus everyone who boards can have a couple of Pride Progress Stickers on us too! Let’s be LOUD and PROUD about PRIDE.
